Verbal Deescalation Thursday, April 27th 1:30-3:30pm Tucson, AZ

Learn to identify the warning signs that can lead to a crisis incident. Assess risks and use verbal techniques to defuse situations before they become violent. Use disengagement skills to avoid or minimize injury. Keep yourself, your flock, and others safe.

Phoenix Metro Chapter Monthly Meeting Thursday, May 2, 6:30pm

This month we will meet at Dream City Church 13613 N. Cave Creek Rd. Children's Pavilion, Building H.

Robert Wild, Senior Director of Strategic Alliances at Brotherhood Mutual Insurance Company will be our guest speaker. His passion is working with ministry leaders to educate them on issues related to child protection and safety and security and to help them identify ways they can best protect their ministries against these and other related risks. Bob has presented more than 200 child protection and church safety and security seminars on behalf of Brotherhood Mutual and continues to pursue more awareness for these topics within the ministry setting. Prior to joining Brotherhood Mutual in 2009, Bob served as the Director of Finance and Administration and Risk Management for two mega churches in the Phoenix area for more than 25 years: Vineyard Christian Fellowship of North Phoenix and Christ’s Church of the Valley.

AZ Armed Security Guard Certification Part II Saturday, May 4th 8:00am-4:00pm

This part two of the sixteen hour AZ Armed Security Guard Course provides students with an tactics, modes of awareness, defensive measures, visualization techniques, weapons manipulation, marksmanship, judgemental shooting, and threat recognition. This portion of the course includes classroom instruction and live fire range training. The course concludes with the written test and live fire qualification.

Students must bring hearing and vision protection, a strong side holster, and 200-250 rounds of ammunition.

Lunch & Learn Friday, May 31st 12:00-1:00pm

This month's Lunch & Learn will be held at Christ Community Church, 530 S. Pantano Road in Tucson.

This month we will be focused on the new AZCSN Forums. The forums are designed as a place for pastors, risk managers, safety team members, and others involved in safety and security at faith-based organizations to share information, engage in professional discussions, and learn from one another. We will discuss registration, demonstrate some of the features, and examine the various applications.

Quarterly Stop-the-Bleed & Active Killer Response Training in Partnership with ICSAVE

Stop-the-Bleed Date: Saturday, June 8th 8:00-10:00am Location: Calvary Tucson Church West Campus

Uncontrolled bleeding from any cause can result in death in as little as five or ten minutes. Learn basic techniques to control bleeding using hands, dressings and tourniquets.
