This course is open to current AZCSN Members. Students will be instructed on their responsibility for firearm safety, maintenance, storage, legal issues relating to the use of deadly force, proper mental conditioning, and judgmental shooting. Practice will be conducted with SIRT and other training devices. This part of the course does not involve live ammunition and ammunition is prohibited in the classroom.

Verbal De-escalation includes techniques used when a person is becoming disruptive or in crisis. This could be during a church service, in a classroom, an office or other non church related locations.

You will learn how to identify warning signs that can lead to a crisis incident. Assess risk and use verbal techniques to defuse situations before they become violent. Use disengagement skills to avoid or minimize injury and keep yourself, your congregation and others safe.
