Day One -
Christ Community Church 2:00-6:00pm
Students will be instructed on their responsibility for firearm safety, maintenance, storage, legal issues relating to the use of deadly force, proper mental conditioning, and judgmental shooting. Practice will be conducted with SIRT and other training devices in the classroom. Scenario based shoot / don't shoot training and completion of the review for the written exam for the course.
Day Two-
Pinal Airpark 8:00am-12:00pm
Students will focus on safe weapon manipulation and marksmanship. The day will be spent on the firing range for live fire practice and qualification. Instruction and practice will include stance, grip, sight picture, sight alignment, trigger control, and breathe control. Students will practice loading and unloading the firearm, drawing and presenting the firearm, clearing malfunctions, and engaging targets with deadly force. Students will complete the practical firearms qualification and written exam.
