Phoenix Metro Monthly Meeting: Verbal De-Escalation

We are excited to resume our Phoenix Metro monthly meetings as Church for the Nations. This month we will be focused on verbal de-escalation. We do ask participants to physically distance and to please wear a mask if possible. We want to ensure we are practicing recommendations to stop the spread as we are invited back to CFTN.

Verbal De-escalation techniques are used when a person is becoming disruptive in an inappropriate location and time. This could be during a church service, in a classroom, an office or other non church related locations. 

You will learn how to identify warning signs that can lead to a crisis incident. Assess risk and use verbal techniques to defuse situations before they become violent. Use disengagement skills to avoid or minimize injury and keep yourself, your congregation and others safe.
