Tactical Decision Making
Tactical Decision Making merely refers to decisions made for short-time span goals. This course focuses on those decisions made under time constraints, where discretionary time is not available. The focus is on the high-risk/criticality/liability, low-frequency events that are typified by the use of force. Participants will review use-of-force concepts, observe videos of previous incidents, learn to avoid the traps of poor decision making, apply the priorities of life, and make appropriate decisions based on the situation presented. This course includes the use of a Firearms Training Simulator (FATS) and live action roleplaying in a variety of incidents. |
